It’s finally here. Somewhere… and More: The Lyrics of J.M. Hardin is now available for purchase and immediate download.
For those who don’t know, about a decade ago I wrote a Christian short story called He’s With the Band, the tale of a song writing sound guy who’s finally giving in to pressure from the band he works for and some friends and is finally making demos of his songs and seeing what he can do with them. Along the way he meets a young woman who he thinks is just a fan of the band but who’s been wanting to meet him. In the story are some of the words to three of the songs I’d written, and with the release Somewhere… and More I’m publishing the complete lyrics to not only those three songs but to eight other songs I’ve written since moving to Boston in 1989. While the new ebook is a book of song lyrics I’m marketing it as a book of poetry, and I really hope that my lyrics are good enough that you’ll enjoy them without the music.
Somewhere… and More is just $2.99 and thanks to the good folks at Smashwords, my distributor, There’s a host of stores you’ll be able to find it at. It’s already available at Apple’s iBooks, and Barnes & Noble’s Nook Store since they’ve had it for preorder, Amazon’s Kindle store should have it by the time you read this has it as well, and with the official release it will make its way to several other ebook stores. Check with your favorite ebook retailer to see if they have it. If they don’t it may mean that it hasn’t reached them yet so check the page here for Somewhere… and More and see if your favorite ebook store is listed. If it isn’t, or you don’t want to have to wait for them to get it, you can always get it from Smashwords with absolutely no DRM so you can move it between devices you own without having to pay for a second copy of my ebook, and if the devices use different ebook formats you can get multiple formats of my ebooks for a single ebook purchase. You can’t say that about any of other ebook store.
If you get Somewhere… and More please consider writing a review at the site you get it from. That will not only help others know if it’s worth buying but it will also help others know that it’s been written. Of course you’re also welcome to post comments here about it, and you can also post your reviews of it on Goodreads. I’d love to know what you think of it.
I still have that mystery I started writing back in August. My laptop died back in September but I think I’ve finally found a way to get at the files on my hard drive so I should be getting back to writing it soon. I hope you’ll find it worth the wait. When my laptop died I was maybe two-thirds to three-quarters of the way through writing it and I can’t wait to see how the story ends.
