I just realized it’s been over two weeks since I posted about new Dodger Tees designs. It turns out my Religion and The Man designs were rejected because of issues with using pictures of Justin Taylor and Chase Utley, but I’ve created seven new designs since then. Two months ago my endocrinologist said the estradiol levels in my blood weren’t high enough for him and switched me to injected estradiol. He had me get blood drawn four days after my fourth injection to see how the levels are, and after two rounds of testing, it’s not looking great. more “Results are in on my latest blood tests and they’re not great”
Yesterday I posted a poll asking if I should turn my “I’ve got Religion” design into tees, and while the voting was sparse Dodgers fans on Twitter gave a quick and resounding “YES!” so I uploaded it and turned it into T-shirts. But I also uploaded a design with Chase Utley, and all of my designs got put on a wider range of products. Which caused a new problem. The LA Dodgers had a bad week last week, dropping two straight series for the first time this season. As I was watching the game Saturday night I found myself once again tweeting “#LetsGoDodgers” with claps and I thought this could be a great t-shirt to wear to the Ravine. Earlier this season I started responding to people complaining that the Dodgers were going to lose a game while still pretty early in the game with the hashtag #ItAintOverYet. As I write this, last night’s game was yet another one of those games when the Arizona Diamondbacks scored five runs off Rich Hill in the first inning. I had already been toying with the idea of making an #ItAintOverYet tee, with a rough design started by the time the game started, and by the end of the third inning, I had most of the design finished. more “New Dodger Tee: #ItAintOverYet!”
Several years back I used to sell t-shirts on Spreadshirt but closed it because the work it took to maintain the shop wasn’t matched by the number of shirts sold. But now I’ve been asked to sell t-shirts again and I’m proud to announce that I just opened my new T-shirt shop on Spreadshirt: Dodger Tees!
It turns out that another milestone has been reached in my hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The downside is that it means I have to replace some of the clothing in my dresser. more “Another milestone has been reached”
I finally gave myself my first injection of estradiol valerate, after spending a couple of hours putting it off because I was afraid it would be a pain in the proverbial arse. But it was literally nothing! The syringe took a little time to fill to 25 mL but making sure my leg was clean and dry before pushing the needle into it took longer than it took to put the needle in and injecting the medicine.
I now wonder why I was so worried and nervous about. There was a drop of blood on my leg after removing the needle but I know that happens some times after getting a shot so I’m not surprised by it. Now I just have to decide where to put the medicine and syringes when I’m not using them. My used syringes get recapped and dropped in a cleaned out juice bottle so that’s a no brainer, it goes on the floor by my desk. That’s where I’ll give myself the injections after all.

I’m not sure how I let that slip by me, but the title had nothing to do with the article as it was written. I’m including some of the info that should have been in that article in this one. As I’ve fought with my weight the last few months there have been a few other things going on with me. Some of the things aren’t so great, and some of them aren’t bad, but there are definitely some new things for me to get used to as we get ready to turn the calendar from July to August. more “There’s a change on the horizon”
